Staying Cool
Today we tried something different and went to the pool down the road. FUN FUN FUN! Worth every penny. Aiden was glued to the water slide, and Taylor was right behind him as usual. Two hour pool trip= Three Hour Nap!

Its blueberry time!
For the second year in a row we ventured out to pick blueberries. This summer has been a scorcher so we were there by 8:30 am and by 9:30 (I think..) we were drenched in sweat! Taylor tromped around with Aiden and discovered just how yummy blueberries were. She found a seat next to Yaya and then Aiden promptly showed her how to pick them straight from the bush. She is a quick learner! So after a few diaper changes later I decided that I would freeze them up and save them for some yummy goodness when we visit with the Kagy Family later in the month. I'm saving them for you SAM!

She ate some grass along with her blueberries!
Best seat in the house.
Aiden doesn't go far without his shades.

Just like brother
This weekend Taylor officially seemed like a big girl to me. I don't think she crawled but once the entire weekend and strives to do everything Aiden does. As a result we have been constantly on both of them" off limits, no no yuck Taylor, Aiden make good choices, Aiden give that back to her, Taylor the potty is off limits, whew!
Taylor really looks up to Aiden and now it is a matter of getting him to make choices that are good so that she will follow good behavior.

Trying to stay cool.
So we are in the full swing of summer. This includes the 100+ degree weather that comes along with it. Our activities have been centered around getting out of our apartment and keeping cool. Most days we get out but by the time I make it to the car with a bag, a lunch box, two cups, a baby doll, a race car, a purse, a bag of trash, and any other item that we may need to take with us, sweat has begun dripping down my forehead. So we usually to something outside in the morning and try to nap during the hottest part of the day. This summer we get to add our YaYa to our play schedule. My mom retired this April (go mom!) and we get to go play at her house, or shop, or swim! This week we went over after nap and played. Aiden has been playing baseball with the tee and seems to get better and better. Taylor is walking everywhere and getting into everything. She mostly hung out in the pool and played ball girl for her big brother. Note: This was almost o'clock in the evening and still freaking hot!

Notice the look of concentration!

Summer Cuties
My last day of school was today. I am looking forward to hanging out with my babies each day and doing whatever we want. We are enjoying having a pool but are looking forward to working on our new home and eventually moving in and feeling settled. There is a lot to do, but we are so excited. We are set to close June 30th if all goes well and we have our work cut out for us. In the mean time if anyone needs me we'll be at the pool, or maybe on a play date...

Daddy's a....
Lately Aiden has been very interested in who is a boy, who is a girl, man, or lady. This is the conversation we had in the car yesterday.
Aiden: Mommy you are a girl?
Mommy: Yes Aiden, but when girls grow up and get bigger we call them ladies.
Aiden: Oh. You are a lady.
Mommy: Is Taylor a boy or a girl?
Aiden: She is a baby girl.
Mommy: What is Daddy?
Aiden: (with great excitement) Daddy's a man! (quicker now) with big strong muscles, and he is good at fixing things too. Like my bike. He fixes my bike.
Mommy: (laughing) Yes, you should thank him for those things Aiden.
Well 30 minutes later when we walked in the door, the first thing he did was walk directly to Mark and tell him thank you for fixing his bike. I hope he always thinks so highly of his Daddy.
